About me

Hi, my name is Nynke. I have a big heart for children. I have fifteen years experience working with children. I worked as a children’s art coach at after school activities locations and as a coach for teenagers. I work as a designer and, since 2014, I run Press Play j/m, a studio for creative workshops for children ages four to twelve.

In 2019 I set up surfNplay to coach primary school children. At surfNplay, children can discover and develop their talents and qualities. They can also, with support, learn to overcome what they are struggling with.

I was born in The Netherlands. When I was five years old we moved to Italy. At the age of seven we moved to the USA for a year. Three months of that time we travelled around in a motorhome. After that year we moved back to Rome where I enjoyed secondary school. After graduating I moved back to The Netherlands.

I have a masters in International relations and worked for a while in telecommunications. I studied industrial design for multiple years and completed a design programme at Artemis. I am a certified child coach and Rock & Water trainer. I’m doing what I love the most doing:  coaching children and creative work.

I am fluent in Dutch and English. My French and Italian are advanced.
